This illustration is by Dare Coulter from Michelle Lanier’s “My N.C. from A to Z.” The image honors the Historically Black Colleges and Universities that were founded in North Carolina! The layout of this image includes the place setting that indicates that the pennants are proudly on display in someone’s home.
